"I had the most humiliating and painful and angry customer service call with Sheila (who would not give me her last name). After a whole chain of miscommunication and slow responses from various employees in this State Farm insurance agency, there is an increase of premium on my parents’ auto policy, due to one missing paperwork. My parents have been out of the country since Nov. Prior to their departure, they worked with a State Farm agent to lower their policy coverage to save some money, since the car will not be driven at all. They were told by their State Farm agent that “You are all set.” After they left country, additional paperwork were requested and they didn’t receive them due to the inconvenience of being out of country. Finally, my parents got access to their email overseas and asked me to contact James Raynor State Farm office. After emails and calls, nothing concrete happened. After the holiday breaks, I called again and finally resolved the missing doc issue. However, the premium went up. My father emailed the agent. Very slow response and no help to solve the premium issue. I called and met Sheila. As the conversation went on, Sheila became more and more aggressive and disrespectful. She clearly picked up that English was not my 1st language and she talked to me in a very discriminating manner. When I asked who was the manager at her office I could reach out, if I could not resolve the issue, her voice got even more intense and annoyed. The increased premium is annoying and very defeating to learn that the State Farm agent won’t help. But being treated so poorly and being verbally discriminated are the reason I am writing this review. I am leaving all the other names out, because they are at least professional and polite, even they did not really try to help. But Sheila has set the bad customer experience to a whole new low standard."

"Honestly probably some of the worst experiences with an insurance company. They've misplaced paperwork, payments are always changing with no notification, the attitudes from the Sanford location is almost unbearable. This location does not treat their customers like family. Highly recommend calling over to the Orange City location if you ever need to talk to State Farm."
